why lease a domain name
Businesses and individuals have been hiring, renting and leasing assets for hundreds of years. Many high street shops and offices are leased. Equipment, tools and cars are rented, and stall holders rent or licence on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Assets are rented either because the asset is too expensive or it's just not available to buy. Businesses want the primary trading position, not the secondary location. Individuals similarly want prestigious or vanity domain names for themselves. We have some of those domain addresses.

lease or licence?
Using the correct terminology. Americans usually use license (with an “s”) not licence (with a “c”). All domains are licensed via a Registrar with the appropriate Registry. The domain is not “owned”. The domain “owner” is the registrant for that domain. If you buy an existing or aftermarket domain you are buying the registration from the current registrant. The registration is transferred. Some Domain “owners” are now “leasing”. The correct terminology is licensing (licensing), renting or hiring. We call it let domains. That covers everything from leasing, licensing, hiring, renting and letting. If you are leasing or renting a domain it is a licence (or sub-licence).
why Let Domains?
To buy the right domain may cost you thousands of pounds or dollars. You can lease or rent domains through us for a fraction of the price on a monthly basis. You can use the domain for your business just as if you had bought the domain. You only pay the regular monthly fee and you can be up with your competition. No registration problems and no registration fees. Perfect if you have budget constraints or only want a short term advertising campaign. Everybody has great ideas; if yours do not work out then you can terminate the licence after the first year by giving one month's notice.
