about letdomains: the people behind the name

Hi there. My name's Chris Fell, and my business partner and I are the people behind this website and its companion site, www.buydomain.co.uk.

Rather than show a boring photo of myself sitting behind a desk, I thought I'd start by saying that I live in a beautiful part of England known as “Shakespeare country” (shown left) and over the last 30 years have built and managed a successful property business.

I started collecting domain names a little over 12 years ago. It was just a hobby at first, but I soon began to take things more seriously after I made good money by selling domains such as musicroom.co.uk, reykjavik.co.uk, staffroom.co.uk, athens.co.uk, etc.

Anyway, I now want to focus even more on this aspect of my business, so we've set up this website and the www.buydomain.co.uk site. Together, these sites have a database of about 1000 great domains, but their roles are very different: while the buydomain site is primarily a vehicle for selling domain names, this site is geared more towards premium domains that are not for sale but can be licensed (or leased) on a monthly or annual basis.

so what does the future hold in store for us?

The future is bright. In due course we will explore the possibility of expanding this website to include a community section via which other people can sell or let their own domain names. Ultimately, our goal is to become the UK's biggest domain aftermarket site, and in this respect we are always open to suggestions and/or partnership business ideas.
